Questions and answers

Straight answers to the questions people ask before getting in touch.

What does OneTechAdmin do?

We sort out the tech problems that interrupt your work: email problems, devices, software and accounts, apps and online tools like booking, payment and social media accounts, and website faults. Try a free guide, or tell us what needs sorting and we’ll handle the agreed work.

Who is it for?

Small businesses and sole traders without their own IT help. Individuals can use it too.

Is the free help really free?

Yes. Our free guides need no payment, account or contact details. Each one says when to stop and ask for help. Asking us is optional, and there’s no pressure to buy.

How much does paid work cost?

Clearly defined tasks fit one of our fixed-price pilot packages, each a set amount of work on one agreed task. We confirm your job fits before you pay. Anything else, or a fault we need to look into first, gets a written quote or a diagnostic priced before we start. Third-party costs and any travel are shown separately. You only pay for work you’ve approved.

How long does a job take?

It depends on the job. After we’ve assessed your request, suitable jobs may take one to two hours of work. Your quote says when we expect to do it. We don’t promise a fix within a set time of first contact, and not every problem can be solved quickly.

Do you work remotely or come to us?

Most problems can be sorted remotely: on a phone walkthrough, or with remote help on your device that you start and approve. Your quote says which. Whether we can visit depends on where you are: the service information page says whether visits are offered, where, and how travel is charged. Any travel charge is in your quote before you approve.

Can I book a time?

When the work needs a set time, we agree one with you. Where online appointments are switched on, you can choose a time from your private request page. Choosing a time sends a request; it’s only an appointment once we confirm it. The service information page says what’s available right now.

How do I pay?

Your quote says how. Where online payment is available, you pay on Stripe’s secure checkout page and we never see your card details. Otherwise we arrange payment with you directly. Either way, you see the scope, price and terms first.

Do I need an account or the app?

No. Use the request form with your name, email and a description of the problem. You get a private link to follow your request. A free OneTechAdmin mobile app is planned, but you’ll never need it.

Will the app be free?

The app is planned to be free to download and use, including the free guides. Technical work is paid, and you’ll always see the scope, price and terms before you approve or pay.

Should I send you my passwords?

No. Never send passwords, card details or access codes through the form, by email or on a call. If the work needs access, we arrange it safely with you, usually by having you invite us as a user.

Which tools do you support?

Many common email, office, booking, payment, social media and website tools. Every setup is different, so we check whether we can help before we quote. If it isn’t a good fit, we’ll say so.

Can I speak to someone at any time?

Not always. Calls may be answered by an automated assistant at any time of day. It can answer questions and pass your details to the team, but that doesn’t mean a person is available at that moment. Prices, appointments and availability are only ever confirmed by the team, in writing.

Do you guarantee results?

We guarantee to tell you exactly what the agreed work covers. We don’t promise outcomes outside our control, such as how other providers’ systems behave.

Can I ask a tech expert for advice?

Yes. Choose Ask a tech expert when you ask for help. Each session covers one focused question, for example choosing a laptop or software for your work and budget, whether to repair, upgrade or replace, business email, domain, hosting, booking or payment tools, backups, account security or a suspicious message, or how your existing tools work together.

We agree the length and price with you first: a pilot package only when its scope fits, otherwise a written quote. You get a clear recommendation, simple next steps and a short written recap on your request. We check current products and providers at the time, rather than relying on a fixed list. Setting anything up is quoted separately, and bigger projects go to THNF.

Can you build a website or run a bigger project?

OneTechAdmin keeps to clearly defined tasks with an agreed scope. New websites, detailed specifications, migrations and ongoing management are handled by our parent company, THNF.

Who is behind OneTechAdmin?

OneTechAdmin is provided by THNF (Tech Has No Face), a technology company that builds, runs and secures technology for organisations. THNF’s promise: we put time back in your hands.
